Well what can we say...David planned this as a surprise for me and I was not disappointed at all. From the moment that we walked in we were made feel welcome by Mary and the young lady that served us. Drinks order taken and a amazing menu presented to us.
I have never tasted such amazing fish. Every mouthful that we tasted was wonderful. Thank you for such a fantastic time and we both hope that your son's wedding in Thailand is a wonderful event.

During a recent visit home to celebrate my father’s birthday, we dined at the Captains Galley. A great evening out, a very warm welcoming and attentive staff, great service, fantastic food, good interaction between guests and staff. Next time you'll have to throw us out (after midnight).
Highly recommend a visit to enjoy this historically unique restaurant, a fantastic ambience and enjoy high quality sea food.
Best regards

I would really like to say a HUGE thank you for an excellent meal!! We came just before Christmas as the restaurant had been recommended to us...and we are so glad that we came. The food was amazing and the hospitality was fantastic. We really appreciated the 'wee dram' after the meal too! ;-)
Thanks for a lovely time best wishes to you all for 2010.

Hi Jim,
I hope you are both well. Tell Ashley well done for his TV interview. I got The Rosslyn Templar last week and read it cover to cover and loved it. See you next week.

Hi Mary
Thanks again for making our special night 'extra special'. Helen is still raving on about it all. We will be back at Christmas so we will see you then. Tell Jim we expect to see more of the same and to get a lot more Lobsters at the ready. Should be about the 10th Dec but we will let you know in good time. We are taking two friends up this time so a table for 4 will be required. Thanks again - we just couldn't have spent our anniversary in a better place, it was so romantic! |

We first visited in 2006 and we are going back in 2008. Only our distance from Scrabster prevents more regular attendance.
Absolutely awesome experience and, for once, Ali was lost for words. That, my friends, is a rarity. The awards speak for themselves but barely give a hint of what's in store when you are lucky enough to dine in the Captain's Galley.
We wish Jim and Mary all the very best for many years to come. |
